At Happy Learning Academy, students have the choice of two convenient ways of washing their personal clothes: washing themselves at the available washing machines or using the school’s laundry service.
1. Laundry service at HLA:
According to the specific laundry schedule for each room, students simply need to place a basket of dirty clothes outside their room, fill out an information slip, and place it in the laundry basket. The laundry staff will check the quantity before washing the clothes. Typically, students will receive their clean clothes back within two days.
HLA recommends that students take note: items that are easily damaged by washing, prone to fading, or of high value should be hand-washed or self-washed to ensure the safety of their personal belongings.
- 1st, 3rd: Monday – Wednesday – Friday
- 2nd, School building: Tuesday – Thursday – Sunday
- The school has a fixed schedule of changing blankets, sheets and pillows every two weeks. If students get dirty or want to change earlier than scheduled, students need to pay an additional fee of 200 pesos/time. Students must fill out a blanket, sheet, or pillow change form at the H-Care counter if they wish to change as required.
- If a bed sheet, pillow, or mattress is damaged or cannot be washed because of stains such as ink color, food color,… Students must pay compensation according to the school’s regulations.
- Students must wash their own clothes that are easily torn, faded, important items, or high-value clothing.
Students have to wash their own underwear. - It is the student’s responsibility to classify the color of the pants/shirt to avoid fading. The school is not responsible when clothes fade during washing.
2. Self-laundry service:

| Students need to limit or manage their laundry for the others to use. |
| Self-Laundry is open from 7:00AM to 10:00PM everyday. The school is not responsible for any lost or damage for students’ clothes. |
- Always turn off the washing machine after using.
- Check laundry items before washing to avoid damaging the washing machine;
- Don’t put overload clothes or laundry items to avoid clogging the machine;
- Don’t use the washing machine in case of a few laundry items;
- Use the detergent instead of powder;
- Transfer your clothes/ laundries to your baskets after washing promptly;
- Always hang clothes/ laundries neatly;
- Don’t hang underwear and socks in the high area and or expose them;
- Bring your laundry basket and put it beside the washing machine when doing laundry;
- Don’t wash your shoes or slippers by the washing machine;
- Keep standard sanitation in self-laundry area;
- Student/ staff shall take sole responsibility for losing their items; the school won’t be responsible;
- Students/staff will be responsible for any damage to tools, equipment, or injuries.
All laundry areas at Happy Learning Academy have surveillance cameras and support staff at specified times!
