  • Regular Attendance is Required: Students must attend all scheduled classes to ensure full participation and maximize learning. Missing more than two classes without a valid reason may result in a review of the student’s progress and potential course consequences.
  • Make-Up Classes: If a student misses a class, they must inform the instructor at least 24 hours in advance to schedule a make-up session, subject to availability. Make-up classes should be completed within the same week of absence.
  • Excused Absences: Valid reasons for absence include medical emergencies, family emergencies, or work-related obligations. Documentation may be required for excused absences.
  • On-Time Arrival: Students are expected to be on time for all classes. Arriving 5 minutes or more late will be marked as tardy
  • Late Arrivals: If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late without prior notice, they may miss essential content and will not be allowed to join the session.
  • Repeated tardiness will affect the overall learning experience and may result in a discussion with the course coordinator.
  • Early Departures: Leaving the class early without prior approval will be recorded as an absence.
  • Daily Vocabulary Tests: Students are required to take the Daily Vocabulary Test at the beginning of each class. These tests will cover new words learned in the previous class and are crucial for reinforcing vocabulary acquisition.
  • Missed Daily Vocabulary Tests: If a student misses a Daily Vocabulary Test due to an excused absence for 3 consecutive days or a total of 3 days in a 2-week row, a warning letter will be given.
  • Score Impact: Daily Vocabulary Test scores contribute to the overall performance evaluation, and consistent poor results may indicate a need for extra focus on vocabulary practice.
