Physical English
The ESL Through Sports and Physical English Activities course offers a dynamic and engaging approach to English language learning by integrating sports and physical activities into the curriculum. Designed for ESL learners of all proficiency levels, this course provides opportunities to improve language skills while participating in a variety of sports and recreational pursuits.
Throughout the course, students will develop their vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English, with a focus on sports-related contexts. By actively engaging in sports and physical activities, students will enhance their communication skills, teamwork abilities, cultural understanding, and overall language proficiency.
The course curriculum is carefully structured to provide a balance of language instruction and practical sports experiences. Each session incorporates interactive activities, communicative tasks, and hands-on learning opportunities to maximize engagement and learning outcomes.

- Happy Learning Academy introduces students to new English vocabulary related to sports, exercise, and fitness. Students can learn terminology specific to different activities, equipment, techniques, and rules, thereby expanding their English vocabulary in a contextually relevant way.
- Happy Learning Academy exposes students to cultural aspects of sports and fitness from English-speaking countries around the world. Students may learn about the history of sports, cultural traditions related to physical activity, and famous athletes or events, fostering cultural awareness and appreciation.
- Happy Learning Academy requires students to deliver presentations or demonstrations in English. Students may showcase their knowledge of exercise techniques, sports strategies, or fitness concepts, practicing public speaking skills and effective communication in English.
LEARNING GOALS:
- Students will learn and practice vocabulary related to various sports and physical activities, including equipment, rules, positions, and action.
- Students will improve their listening and comprehension skills by following instructions, responding to verbal cues, and understanding spoken communication during sports drills and activities.
- Students will apply language skills learned in the classroom to practical contexts, such as giving instructions, discussing strategies, and interacting with others during sports and physical activities.
PHYSICAL COURSE:
Adults: This comprehensive course is designed to provide extra-curricular activities to participants with training techniques, evidence-based practices, and practical tools to excel in the fitness industry and achieve optimal results for themselves or their clients.

Course Highlights:
A. Skill-based focus (Competency-based)
- Through participation in sports and physical activities, students will enhance their ability to communicate effectively in English, including giving instructions, providing feedback, and engaging in discussions with teammates and instructors.
- Students will participate in sports and physical activities to improve their physical fitness, develop motor skills, and enhance coordination and agility.
B. Learner-centered
- Classes are focused on developing students’ macro and micro skills, plus the extra-curricular activities.
- Teachers and coaches closely monitor students’ progress through feedback and coaching.
C. Outcome Based Education
- Focuses on students’ evaluation to monitor progress and feedback.
- Daily and weekly feedback from the teachers is done to inform students’ achievement and things that need improvements.
- Extra- Curricular Activities Outdoor thrice a week.
- Special recognition and awarding of certificates at the end of the course.
D. Integrated Approach
- General Skills subject will generally test how well the student does in all major skills.
- Instructors demonstrate proper exercise techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols, allowing students to observe and learn correct form and procedures.

Also, they will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate in writing about academic information based on what they have read and listened to. |
4 | Group Class (GC) | Pronunciation | As students come from different non-English speaking countries, students find it difficult to say the words properly. Thus, this class will help them improve on how to properly enunciate words and use them in real-life settings. |
