1. It is strictly forbidden to use and carry alcoholic beverages, banned substances (drugs, ecstasy…), weapons (knives, guns, swords…), explosives, or any dangerous items entering the school. HLA reserves the right to check students’ bags to ensure that they are not bringing prohibited items into the school and to take photos of students getting in and out.
2. Theft, vandalism, racism, colorism, religious discrimination, and violence are strictly prohibited.
3. Respect differences in each student’s personal life, do not ask questions and participate in discussions about other students’ sensitive issues.
4. Do not record, photograph, or film a student without his or her consent.
5. All acts and words to harass other students are strictly prohibited.
6. Borrowing money between students, teachers, and HLA staffs is strictly forbidden.
7. If students lose their room or locker keys, please immediately notify H-Care staff to receive a new one. Students must pay 500 pesos for the new keys.
8. Students are not allowed to bring relatives, friends or guests inside the campus without the school’s consent.
9. Students cannot bring items from the cafeteria, or H-mart (spoons, forks, spoons, bowls…) out of this area.
10. Students are allowed to smoke cigarettes (including e-cigarettes and vapes) only in the designated areas. If students are reported for smoking outside the prescribed area, they will be fined 2,000 pesos for each violation.
11. Students are responsible for self-preservation and are responsible for their personal belongings.
12. Students are not allowed to leave the school during class (7:45 – 17:30) except in emergencies or for a good reason (visa interview, hospital visit…)
13. The school curfew is 00:00 AM. Students who stay out overnight can only return to school after 6:00 A.M.
14. Students are allowed to leave the school after school if they complete a vocabulary test every morning and must return to school before the 00:00 A.M curfew.
15. Climbing school gates, fences, balconies, roofs or other dangerous acts are strictly prohibited.
16. HLA staffs, management, and security guards will regularly inspect to ensure the safety of all areas at the school. When a violation is encountered, school staffs have the right to take photos/videos/recordings as evidence.
17. The school has cameras installed in many areas of campus. Students cannot check surveillance cameras without permission from the school.
18. It is strictly forbidden to have sex in the school (except when students register to share a double room before enrollment)
19. Students must complete a travel notification form and sign an undertaking to take responsibility for off-campus incidents.
20. The HLA School reserves the right to expel students for serious violations and not to refund fees. After receiving the expulsion decision, students must leave the school within 24 hours.
21. Students must comply with the laws of the Philippines while studying at the school.
22. The school will keep all students’ passports while studying at HLA.
EXPULSION RULES – NO REFUNDS
1. Having sexual relations on campus (except in cases where students register for a double room before enrolling).
2. Intentionally destroying property of HLA or other students’ things and engaging in behavior that affects staffs and other students, such as arguing, fighting, or committing mental or physical violence against HLA staffs, teachers, students, or student-self.
3. Organizing and participating in betting or gambling in any form.
4. Intentionally bringing banned substances such as alcohol, drugs, and dangerous weapons such as guns, knives, swords, etc. into school in any form.
5. Using banned substances in the school campus (drugs, alcohol, etc.)
6. If the student receives two warning letters from HLA within four weeks of staying and continues to violate school policies, they will be expelled without a refund upon receiving the third warning letter.
