General English Course
General English is a English learning program for people who use other major languages such as Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese… The main focus of the course is on conversation, grammar, and vocabulary for all four English skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing). Especially, listening and speaking skills will be greatly improved when studying in the Philippines due to the surrounding environment as well as the frequency of one-to-one classes.
English for Communication:
The General English course, also known as a short-term English communication course, is suitable for people who work in an international environment, people who often travel abroad, or who are about to enroll for foreign colleges and universities. HLA will use the Cambridge textbooks in teaching according to different grades of grading scale, even though students are studying in the same course, they will be taught by different teaching techniques. In addition, HLA also organizes midterm and final exams in order to track the progress of all the students.

After completing this course, students will notice the significant differences such as:
- Natural responses in basic English conversations
- Enhancement in your ability to express your mind
- Improvement in pronunciation & intonation
- Development in your English vocabulary
Intensive General English:
Similar to the basic English communication course in terms of curriculum and orientation, but the advanced course will have up to five (05) one-on-one classes per day, 2 periods are mainly focusing on speaking skills for students who have the fear of communicating using English. If you are not confident in your pronunciation ability or want to enhance your reflexes in the shortest time, this is the optimal choice.
In addition, students are also entitled to add one-on-one classes or change group classes to one-on-one classes to achieve their goals in the shortest time. Students are required to take a daily vocabulary test. Every day, student will study 10 new words to additional their existing vocabulary.
